Mid- Century modern-BEAUTIFUL WILLIAM JACOBS PASTEL ON PAPER!!! Circa: 1950. Jacobs is a well listed artist. This was an estate purchase. It has beautiful colors!!! (see pics) The paper measures 22 1/2" X 17 1/2" unframed. 33 3/4" X 28 1/4" . It is absolutely beautiful and ready to hang!! William Jacobs said: "I consider my work an expression of the age. I am painting industrial subjects and find them very interesting...I have painted many street scenes in Chicago, particularly the Maxwell Street market. Therefore, I suppose, it might be said that my work is peculiarly Chicagoan. His works were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. THIS PIECE IS CALLED JACOBS KIDS PARTY. It hung in the art institute!!!!!
